My name is Carly White and I’ve known I wanted to be a children’s author since I was a child myself. As I grew up, I realized I wanted my books to not only be entertaining and captivating, but I also wanted to teach important lessons that I wasn’t necessarily exposed to as a kid. This led to my very first book, Rose and Bubbles, which helps children understand what emotions are and how to develop healthy tools to cope with them. Growing up, there were times I felt so alone dealing with anxiety, so if I could just make one child feel understood and give them the confidence to communicate their feelings, then my goal would be met.
When I’m not writing, I like to surround myself with nature, both inside my home with my houseplants, and outside with my garden and several trees. In fact, I hope to get to know nature on a level most people have not when I one day soon hike the entire Appalachian trail from Georgia to Maine with my husband. We will miss our two loving cats in the 6 months duration, but I aspire to gain inspiration from the journey for my future books.
