Stuart Rowson

Stu (no-one really calls him Stuart) was inspired to write his debut novel - Izzy and the Tumble Thunder - after spending three years reading the entire Harry Potter series to his own daughter, Izzy, at bedtimes.

Stuart lives near Manchester, England with his beloved wife Laura and has worked in the media for more than 20 years, with most of his career spent at the BBC.

He has held senior positions across BBC Sport, BBC Children's and BBC News and now runs his own media business in the north of England.

A devoted dad, he is also a keen runner (with bad knees) and a lover of Indie music and most things from the 1990s.
