Lesley Nelson

Lesley Nelson is a writer, speaker and author of her two children’s book the first is called The Adventures of Indy. The Shapeshifting Hamster. Followed by the second one Indy and the Case of the Missing Choirmouster. Now she has published her third in the series, Indy and Friends Save Christmas, with even more exciting stories to come.

A trained lay minister, Lesley has spent the last 25 years preparing talks, leading services, taking groups alongside her secular employment. She has always had a love of writing short stories, mostly fantasy fiction. She was especially inspired by Alan Dean Foster’s ‘Spellsinger Series many years ago.

She has always loved animals and has had a total of 5 cats over the last 40 years. Having watched Animal Magic in her younger days. She especially liked the way Johnny Morris the presenter gave the animals a voice over that perfectly suited them. This has stayed with her and is the inspiration she uses in her stories.

She lives next to a Marina with her partner in her humble home and loves that she’s so close to nature. A perfect place to write.
