James Brown is an author, historian, Navy veteran, and professional Christmas performer whose work explores the history of Christmas traditions, Santa Claus, and American cultural heritage. A father and husband, James combines a passion for historical research with a talent for making complex topics engaging and accessible to readers of all ages.

After entering the professional Christmas performer industry in 2013, James developed a deeper interest in the origins of the modern Santa Claus. His curiosity led him to undertake years of extensive research, examining nineteenth-century newspapers, magazines, books, illustrations, advertisements, and other primary sources. He is also the author of The Making of Santa and has written additional works focusing on Christmas traditions, local history, and notable historical figures.
