PATRICK POLGE

Patrick POLGE is a French author born in 1970, after a university course specializing in the themes of banking and insurance, he joined a banking establishment with an international dimension within which he exercised high-level managerial functions before occupying general management roles in several energy companies. His passion for history and his studies in insurance have enabled him to carry out important research on the spoliation of works of art during the 20th century and in particular during the Second World War by the exactions of spoliation carried out by the Third Reich. and the ERR under the authority of Rosenberg, Goering and Hitler.

In October 2022, after several years of writing, he published his first novel entitled "Le violon de Guitta" which deals with the relatively unknown theme of the spoliation of musical instruments by the Nazis. Giving voice to a two-hundred-year-old violin of a great Bavarian build from Mittenwald, the novel explores the mysteries of the Nazis' plot to plunder the property of the Jewish populations of eastern countries (Lodz and Warsaw) and in France.

Within the book largely based on real facts, the reader can discover the secret negotiations held before the most important international trial against war crimes and crimes against Humanity.

This historical novel is a book of transmission of the memory of the Jewish people oppressed by the regime of a dictator and the infernal machination leading to genocide in the death camps.
