Joe Whale

Hi My name is Joe Whale AKA The DoodleBoy,

I am 12 years old (November 2022 – I’ll be 13 in December) and I live in Shrewsbury in the UK and my favourite thing to do is be creative and most of all doodling.

I have loved art from the age of 3 or 4 but It was when turned 6 that I found the amazing art of doodling, it made me feel so happy and completely free to express myself, we have a saying in our house that we all live by “There is no right or wrong in art, just perception” and I live by that every day.

Most of my inspirations come from my surroundings or what I am thinking about at the time I am doodling, this way you can constantly come up with new ideas which is really cool.

I would encourage everyone to embrace art and creativity as there are no boundaries when you open your mind fully to creativity, it’s so much fun.

My doodling has given me opportunities to work with some amazing companies such as:-

The main thing I would say is to “ Do what you love” and also don’t do art to impress others, if you like what you do that is all that matters, this is one of the most important things to me and I hope it will be for you too...
