Ed Eng

Dr. Ed Eng is the best-selling author of “The Accidental Mayor: From the Side Streets of Chinatown to the Main Street of City Hall.” His book has been featured in World Journal, Balita Weekend, and several radio shows and podcasts. He was a closing keynote speaker at the 2023 One Voice – One Love” Conference at the Museum of Tolerance.

Dr. Eng is currently a Councilmember and former Mayor of La Mirada, and a seasoned executive with 25+ years of diverse industry experience in government, media, consulting, and engineering.

Previously, Dr. Eng was the Regional President of Los Angeles Times. During that time, he received the Innovator of the Year Award for his ethnic partnership strategy that catapulted the Times to become the largest metropolitan daily newspaper in the country.
