John G. Jung has authored countless numbers of technical articles and non-fiction books over several decades writing about cities, the economy, and quality of life topics. His latest works of fiction are based on his experiences and professional activities around the world. He is an award-winning professional urban planner, urban designer, professor, economic developer, and global urban navigator. He worked for several decades planning cities and helping to create vibrant social and economic environments in global cities such as Toronto, Calgary, New York, Hong Kong, and London, among others. He’s a “Smart City” pioneer and originated the “Intelligent Community” concept and think tank in the early 1990s. Keynote speaker at such events as Rio’s TedTalks, Barcelona’s Smart City and Mobile World Congresses, Intelligent Transport in Sydney, APEC in Beijing, Ottawa Writer's Festival, and Global Forum conferences in Europe, he has led global business missions, workshops, and design charrettes and is active teaching, consulting and participating in city-building initiatives. He lives with his wife and family in Toronto.
