Taye Jones

Taye Jones is a pediatric speech-language pathologist and proud alumnus of William Paterson University and Morgan State University. In addition to her clinical work, Taye has presented virtually and in-person to over 20,000 parents, educators, and professionals worldwide.

Taye is committed to promoting language development through literacy and increasing diversity in children’s literature through social media at @havingoursay. Her debut picture book, Liam’s First Cut, centers family and community, while also normalizing neurodiversity as Liam, an autistic Black boy, prepares for his first trip to the barbershop. Liam uses supports from his family and therapists to manage his expectations and process sensory information leading up to his first haircut. Her newest book, The Season of Yes! Is a jubilant ode to spending summer in the city. Luce’s school year has come to an end and she is eager to enjoy all of her favorite seasonal activities with her mom.
