I am a psychologist with over thirty years of experience in school and clinical settings treating children, adolescents, and their families., I have authored chapters on treating bullies and applying the strength-based model in schools to books on play therapy. I have had articles published in journals on positive psychology and child psychotherapy. With David A Crenshaw, I co-authored Symbol Association Therapy Strategies-Child (SATS-C): Clinical Manual, Workbook, and Casebook detailing strategies to facilitate meaningful therapeutic dialogue between child and therapist. I have also presented on positive psychology and child psychotherapy topics at several conferences, school districts, and parent groups.

A deep passion for positive psychology and its emphasis on discovering and utilizing a person’s strengths rather than treating deficits has shaped my work in psychotherapeutic settings and elementary and secondary schools.
