Keicia Lyons

Keicia Lyons is a High School Language Arts and Special Education teacher at Salem High School in Conyers, Georgia. She is the mother of two children (Ariana & Marquis), the nana to five grandchildren, and the only child to the late William Barnhill Jr. and Mrs. Barbara Barnhill.

Keicia's life choices and challenges are the tools that make her a kind and compassionate spirit. She is adored by her students because her interactions with them always include a warm smile and her southern maternal charm.

Mrs. Lyons has written a play titled "A Dance With Darkness" that was performed at the Historic Douglass Theatre in downtown Macon, Georgia in 2005. She also wrote a children's book titled "Bridget's Big Day in 1st Grade" in 2009. Her most recent projects include an autobiographical self-help journal titled "I'm Wonderfully Made, Are you Sure?," a tween/preteen novel titled "Wonderfully Made Wendy and The Powerhouse Prayer Group," and a motivational blog titled "Inspiration Speaks."
