Richard Heket

Richard Heket, born in September of 1949, is a writer of fiction, poetry, short stories, children’s illustrated books and non-fiction. He is an accomplished illustrator of book covers, children’s books, short stories and is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.

As a world traveler in over two dozen countries in North America, Europe, and Asia as an industry reliability and process quality engineering manager, and fluent in English, French, and university coursework in ancient Greek and Egyptian hieroglyphs, his experience in a wide scope of cultures and languages has enriched his life immeasurably.

Richard’s interests include language and word etymology, astronomy, hiking and camping, gardening, gourmet cooking, and research into a wide variety of subjects and disciplines.

Richard is still happily married to his true North Star and anchor of 50 years, Jan. They are the parents of one daughter and two grandchildren.
