Stephon Void

Stephon Carlisle Void is a native of Bowman, South Carolina, is the District Lay Leader of the Orangeburg District and a Certified Lay Servant at New Covenant UMC, where he has faithfully served for over 20 years. He is active in many areas of ministry, including teaching Bible study, leading worship, singing in the choir, and engaging in community outreach activities.

Stephon is an honors graduate of Bowman High School and holds both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Claflin University. For the past 14 years, he has worked at Claflin as a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Technician in the Department of Chemistry.

He is also a published author, with works including From My Heart to Your Eyes, A Healing Journey, and Loving Hands. Several of his prayers and litanies have been published on the United Methodist Church Discipleship Ministries Black History page. Through his faith, writing, and service, Stephon seeks to inspire others and glorify God through his witness and service.

He resides in Bowman, SC with his mother Shirlene.
