Greg Bower

Dr. Greg Bower is a gritty storyteller, avid road-tripper, amateur photographer, career educator, father, brother, and son. He was named the superintendent of the year for the state of Texas by the Texas Rural Educators Association in 2024. He is the author of A Man Reborn: A Jesse Coltharp Western, Buckskin Blues, Obadiah James: Hell's Heart, They Called Him the Yantis Kid, and A Few of My Favorite Things. He holds a Master's degree in History, a Master's degree in English, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. He is an independent author and asks readers to forgive those small mishaps in writing that large publishing editors would be more likely to catch.

He has an incredible son, Dakota Zane Bower, named after the great writer himself. He has been a lifelong fan of western novels and travels all over the country studying the landscape and history of places to add a flare of authenticity to his novels.
