Tony Stevens

Tony Stevens writes about the working lives of Venetians from the past. His historical novella The Water Girls follows Lina, a nineteenth-century water-carrier. It draws on the same research behind his non-fiction Venice’s Water Carriers: An Illustrated History of the Bigolante. He also creates walking guides that lead readers through the city's quieter corners.
