Jacey Jax

Jacey Jax is author and illustrator of The Rollicky Nimble Silly But Simple Dwellers of Calico Lane. Jacey is co-founder of Purple Pretzel Publishing, a company that publishes books highlighting diverse characters demonstrating joy and ease to benefit educators, children, and their families. After obtaining a B.A. in English from Spelman College, Jacey went on to work for several museums and galleries in an administrative capacity before taking a turn into medical sales. Prior to creating Purple Pretzel Publishing, she was a Pharmaceutical Sales Executive.

Born in Germany, raised in the American South, and Midwest, Jacey now lives with her two kids, their dog Otis, their fish Mr. Fishy and partner Todd in Atlanta, Georgia. Some of Jacey's proudest awards were winning the first grade spelling bee, and a third grade poetry contest judged by one of her favorite teachers, Mrs. House at Crittenberger Elementary. Jacey speaks French, English, and Pig Latin. She is currently learning Spanish and Arabic, while teaching herself how to play the acoustic guitar. Yoga and cooking for her family bring her great joy. She is writing a second Calico Lane book, to be released next year.
