Michael Nathan-Pepple

Michael Nathan-Pepple is passionate about history, particularly black/African history. He has to date written five books, two of which are travel guides focusing on the twin island nation of Antigua and Barbuda. The first book, titled “All About Antigua and Barbuda,” describes the history of Antigua and Barbuda and highlights some of its most popular sites and attractions. The second book, “Antigua and Barbuda - A Real Caribbean Treasure,” is an 88-page book full of colourful photographs that shows Antigua and Barbuda’s rich culture, history, breathtaking landscape and vast selection of beaches.

Michael’s other three books are about black/African history: “Historical Churches of the Caribbean island of Antigua,” “Amazing Africa,” and “The Real Abolitionists.” The first book on the list investigates and analyses the complex relationship between the Older Established Churches, Slavery and their Black converts. The second is an A-Z resource book that seeks to change the narrative by telling the African story. It encourages people of African descent and the entire human race to acknowledge Africa’s contributions to world history. The third book, "The Real Abolitionists," focuses on the struggle of twenty-two enslaved Africans and African descendants who fought and rebelled against slavery. The book includes a section discussing the horrors of slavery and the necessity for reparations.

Michael’s interest in writing began in the 1990s, when he wrote articles for Black Business and Culture, a quarterly London magazine. He earned a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Management Studies (MA) from Kingston University (UK), and have worked in a variety of business sectors. Michael is more than just an author; he is also a publisher, an entrepreneur, a motivational speaker, a committed Pan-Africanist and a very conscious African.
