Todd Lyons

Todd Lyons is a Canadian writer, podcast producer, and former radio broadcaster who now works in the public service by day and tells stories—sometimes deeply personal, sometimes deeply escapist—by night. His work blends dry humour, lived experience, and the occasional existential detour.

He’s the author of You Tried: A Deadbeat’s Guide to Self-Actualization (originally drafted in 2006 and later updated for readers with deeper eye bags and lower expectations), as well as Chrysogon’s Coterie, Beneath the Silver Spire, and the upcoming Nightmare Voyager.

Todd has also produced too many podcast series including Read Me Somewhere, Indigenous Perspectives: Stories from Indigenous Public Servants, and Toddcast, with Todd Lyons—a name he did check first, only to be algorithmically smothered by dozens of Toddcasts that came after.

He holds a Master of Social Work, is a Certified Privacy Professional (CIPP/C), and drinks more tea than is strictly reasonable. He lives in Ottawa, where he is usually working on too many things at once and regretting none of them.
