Dave Rochlin

Dave Rochlin is a professor, consultant, futurist, and social entrepreneur. As a continuing lecturer and executive director at the University of California, Berkeley, his research areas include the impact of technology on society, responsible innovation, and sustainable business design. His teaching focuses on innovation, design thinking, and responsible business through Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, Goldman School of Public Policy, and Rausser College of Natural Resources.

As a former tech executive, he helped build, grow, and eventually sell pioneering ecommerce and internet businesses, and placed companies on both the Deloitte 50 and INC 500 lists. As a consultant and educator, he has coached thousands of students and executives to collectively solve problems, coalesce as teams, and work more collaboratively, while developing innovative solutions to ambiguous and difficult issues of culture, performance, and growth.

Dave has BS degree from UC Berkeley, an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University, and is currently a late career PhD student at Clemson University in rhetoric, communication, and information design, focused on the intersection of digital and environmental humanities.
