David Rivas is a pharmacist and parent that just wanted the best for his children. So, when his son was diagnosed with severe autism, with symptoms like self-injury behavior, hyperactivity, aggression, and lack of eye contact, David tried conventional medications and failed to get positive results. He refused to give up and went back to school. He focused on nutrition and functional medicine and finished a Master Degree in this field from the University of Western States.
He applied crucial Brain Principles that learned from his education, and his son went from severe autism to doing well in school, even honor roll, and playing multiple sports. He wrote Resilient Brain as a way to empower parents and even professionals to apply specific brain principles that includes nutrition and healthy lifestyle for success in mental illnesses.
He is married to Jessica and lives in Florida with his children David Jonathan and Daviana. As a Brain Health Coach, he helps families navigate the journey of having a love one with mental or brain illnesses.
