I was born in 1997 in a small town in Carinthia which is in the south of Austria. If that sounds like it’s in the middle of nowhere… it pretty much is but it had its perks, like writing high up on a tree where no one could disturb your flow. 🌳

Writing is my passion. More than ten years ago now, I discovered fanfiction for myself and have been improving my skills ever since.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Applied Cultural science as well as a master’s degree in Visual Culture now and currently, I’m in the middle of building myself a career in the Creative Industry in the heart of London, where I’ve been living since April 2021. 🇬🇧

Oh and if you’re wondering where my pseudonym comes from, let me explain it to you: The S, not so surprisingly, stands for Stefanie. When I was thirteen, I was trying to find a cool and sophisticated sounding username for my old German fanfiction profile. What I came up with was “Serpente” which is the Italian word for snake. Besides, I’m a proud Slytherin. So there you go. I have been using it as my pseudonym ever since. 🐍

If I’m not writing or reading and constantly running out of space for my books, I travel as much as I can, learn new languages and lose my mind at rock concerts and on a Friday night, you’ll likely find me in a theatre, the cinema or relaxing at home with a good book and a nice cuppa (or a glass of wine… I’m a real cliché when it comes to that). 📚

What else… I also spend a significant amount of time daydreaming about ficitional characters and I have a serious weakness for misunderstood villains. Loki is basically my husband. 😜
