I have no idea how many people check in with my Author Page. "The Volunteer" is available this morning -- Oct 24, 2025. I'll be selling copies at gun shows and Christmas markets around Billings -- Gun Show at Metra Nov 29-30-21, Christmas markets at Hope UMC on Wicks Lane, 11/1/25, and at Miller's Horse Palace in Lauren 12-20/21. I thought it would be another week or so before I had copies of "The Volunteer" but they will be available at Hope UMC's sale on Saturday, November 1!

"The Volunteer" is a novel about the American Ambulance Field Service in France before the US entered WWI and extends into their service with the US Ambulance Service as part of the American Expeditionary Force in 1917 and 1918. Romance, hard work, gallantry, comedy and tragedy -- the diaries of real volunteers reflected all of these and I like to think I've brought them to life in the story of Walter Brown and Margo Parker just behind the front in Alsace.
