Curt Ench

Curt Ench is the author of The Devar-Garrison Historical Mystery Series, in which he explores the inescapable and often magical connections between the past and the present, bringing to light important historical events in ways that people find relevant to their current lives.

Influenced as a young child by his parent’s quest for both scientific and spiritual knowledge, and their trail blazing exploration of Eastern and Western philosophies, he has maintained a lifelong pursuit to understand the cultures and beliefs of others, and find the common ground we all share. With a true love of storytelling, the Devar-Garrison Mystery Series is the culmination of that quest.

In his fourth novel in the series, The Yonker - Lost Treasure of Esopus Creek, Curt traces the origins of American liberty and religious tolerance back to their seventeenth century Dutch roots in the bustling port city of New Amsterdam, where freedom of conscience, a newly enacted liberty in the Dutch homeland, was adopted in the nearby village of Flushing, ultimately becoming a foundational part of American law.
