Marco Marchetti

I'm Marco Marchetti. I was born on September 16th 1991 so I just turned 31.

I live in Monza, Italy but attend University in Bergamo. I first graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bergamo back in 2020, during pandemic and with a dystopian final dissertation on both Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049.

Now I'm attending master degree's courses in Intercultural Studies in Languages and Literatures (ISLLI) at the same University of Bergamo. My will Is to become a teacher in the near future.

I do speak Italian (mother tongue), English, Spanish and French. I can understand people talking in Portuguese and I'm constantly trying to focus on other languages such as German and Arabic.

At the moment I'm writing I do also participate in some Intercultural initiatives via social network like Clubhouse, where I'm part of a bunch of clubs such as Mediterranean Languages (the one explicitly mentioned in the initial pages of the book) and the Italian Club (which does also cooperates with the one just mentioned above) named Eclettica (and I have to mention my two "partners in crime" Luca Ronzoni and Alex Perna without whom I couldn't have managed to develop parts of these random thoughts depicted in this volume), as well as many other collaborations.

At the moment I'm writing, even if the initiatives just mentioned might seem overwhelming, I still do not have a permanent job.

The Club just mentioned, Mediterranean Languages, also owns a YouTube Channel by the same name; and among the many activities of mine I do also create subtitles as, from February to May 2022, I attended a Master in Subtitles Creation and Scripts Adaptation at the Scuola Superiore per Mediatori e Interpreti di Pisa.
