Kim Carr

Kim Carr is an award-winning author, photographer, and lifelong farmer who believes every animal has a story worth telling. Her *Around the Farm* series brings true animal stories to life through original photography, digitally enhanced illustrations, and heartfelt storytelling for readers of all ages.

Her books have earned national honors from the Firebird Book Awards, PenCraft Book Awards, IndieReader Discovery Awards, and Best Book Awards.

Growing up near St. Louis, Kim spent summers on her grandparents' farm, where her love of animals and rural life took root. At age ten, her first camera, a Kodak 110, sparked a passion for photography that would eventually lead to storytelling through books.

Today, Kim lives on her mid-Missouri farm, Hybrid Hollow, surrounded by an unforgettable cast of animals. Through her books, she shares the humor, surprises, challenges, and everyday adventures of real farm life, inviting children and adults alike to discover that extraordinary stories often begin with ordinary animals.
