Ron Barthet

Ron Barthet was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, lived in Bay St. Louis, MS, and Covington, Louisiana, and worked as an editor at several newspapers and magazines.

He began writing short stories and novels at an early age, filmed 8mm movies while a teenager, and specializes in producing science fiction and humorous Cajun stories (but not at the same time.)

His advertising posters for Imaginary Festivals and Conventions were a popular hit, as were his many cartoon bird's eye view posters of small towns.

Barthet is retired, publishes a new novel from time to time, and volunteers long hours writing posts for a blog focusing on the talented people and history of St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.
