Thomas George

Thomas George is an author from Rochester in the UK. In this regard, he's a little like Charles Dickens... but that's where the similarities end.

With his debut children's book, A Very Special Flamingo, Thomas George tells the story of Hans-Peter, a flamingo from a cold river, in a grey town, on a green island, who finds his way to a place he can feel special.

It is said that the author sees himself in his flamingo. In any case, both have left their grey towns and cold rivers behind: Hans-Peter to live on the beautiful Flamingo Island, Thomas George to live in Vienna with his daughter, Petra. She helps with the stories too.
