Gerd Frank

Gerd Frank, born in Regensburg in 1944, grew up in Landshut and Munich, first working as a civil servant in the non-technical senior administrative service before studying German, history and Romance languages in Munich. Today he is a retired high school teacher, married twice and father of six children. For years he was intensely involved in the literature and history of Central and South America, the Near East, and the Far East. So far, many short stories and newspaper articles have been published, as well as 28 books, including translations from Spanish, Italian and French.

In 1969, Gerd Frank won DM 8,000 on the game show "All or Nothing" with the theme "Karl May" and became champion. He later wrote a question book about Karl May. Also documentaries about true crimes (=TRUE CRIME) in the series "Totmacher", by Kirchschlager, Arnstadt/2014. So far the following volumes have been published: 1: The Nuremberg Vampire and others. / 2: Mass murders without bodies and others./ 3: The Wolf of Moscow and others. / 4: The Henan Cobra and others./ 5: The Cielo Drive massacre and others./ 6: The Monster of the Andes and others. 7: Killing Couples and Others

Around 2017, Kuebler-Verlag, Lampertheim, published some novels by Frédéric Lenormand, translated from French. Several translations from French and Italian have also appeared as part of the Edition Dornbrunnen/Berlin program, as well as novels by an anonymous French author, which have been translated by Gerd Frank under the name SAR DUBNOTAL. First, Verlag Dieter von Reeken published three book editions as well as a reprint of the entire novel series at the nostalgic amateur printer Karl Ganzbiller in Wilfersdorf/Austria.

Recently he has translated the ROCAMBOLE novel series by Ponson du Terrail from French into German (published by AMAZON).
