Ron Clamp is a third generation stone carver
from Elberton, Georgia, the “Granite Capital of
the World.”
As a designer, stone carver, member
of the Stone Carvers Guild, journeyman engraver,
and architectural stone specialist, Ron has used
his imagination and creativity to design and
create one-of-a-kind works from stone.
In 2003, Ron moved to South Carolina
where he met his wife, Sallie, and together, they
continue to create “anything one can imagine”
from stone, restore historic architecture and
monuments, and perform structural stone
fabrication, installation, and repair.
Pulling from his musical education
background, Ron began telling stories based on
song lyrics to his children when they were little.
As his boys grew, so did Ron’s stories. Finally, at
Sallie’s insistence, Ron began putting the stories
down on paper.
Ron currently resides in South Carolina with
his wife and two sons, and continues to use his
imagination to carve stone and write stories.
