Debbie A. Grant

Debbie spent years working as a registered nurse, much of that time at the bedside of hospice patients. No classroom teaches what a dying person can teach you about what actually matters, but Debbie still carries those lessons with her. She's no longer working the floor, but not a day goes by that she isn't talking with someone, listening to their story, or thinking on her feet to help them through something hard. Comforting people, really seeing them, has always been who she is.

That instinct, to sit with people, to listen well, to find the calm inside the chaos, shows up in everything she writes.

In Hospice Care: The Journey within, she draws directly from her years at the bedside to help others navigate one of life's hardest passages. Caregivers All in one Journal offers the same steady support to the people quietly holding everything together at home. In Gentle Chair Yoga for Seniors and the Memory Lane puzzle books, she brings that same care into everyday movement and mental sharpness, and in Choosing to be seen, she turns to fiction, walking alongside her characters through the quiet transformative power of a pause. Debbie writes the way she's always lived, with warmth, presence, and an unshakeable belief that everyone has a story worth hearing. More books are always in the works, so keep reading.

When she isn't writing, Debbie is usually still doing what she's always done, striking up conversation with a stranger in line at the grocery store, checking in on someone who needs it, or dreaming up her next project. She lives by the conviction that investing in life- spiritually, physically, and financially is never wasted, and she hopes her books leave readers a little more grounded, a little more hopeful, and a little more seen.
