Phil Farver was born in Pontiac, Michigan as the eldest of four children. He grew up in a preacher's home with strict discipline and loving parents. He attended Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin and graduated with a BS Degree in Secondary Education (PE minor) and Bible. He has been teaching and coaching for 44 years at four different schools. He has been an Athletic Administrator for 37 of those years. He is currently ministering at Indian Rocks Christian School in Largo, Florida. He and his wife of 37 years, Rhonda, have served together their entire married life. They have two children, Kindal and Blake and currently have three grandchildren; Layla, Asher and Ivy.
Everyone knows him as "Coach" and his dedication and loyalty show in his daily routines. He has published three books: "Five Smooth Stones - Proven steps for Positive Success", "Before the Whistle - Motivation and Inspiration to get you started" and "Two Moms in My Office Devotional - Object Lessons from Random Objects".
Phil's hearts desire is that something he shares in his writing will impact someone's life in a positive way resulting in a change of direction and a new outlook on striving to be the best. His preaches his mantra, "There are only two things in life that you can control: your attitude and your effort. Make sure they are both at the highest level and you will be successful."
