Stella Nahatis

Stella Nahatis was born in Northern Greece and lived there until her eleventh birthday. Adoption landed the eleven-year-old orphan in the United States of America. After overcoming the hurdles inherent to an immigrant; assimilation, language barrier, and cultural differences, a resilient and strong Stella embraced her new country with fervor. Her passion and love for family, and people in general have steered her into volunteerism beginning as a teenager.

Stella Nahatis is a talented writer who has captivated readers with her poignant memoir, Taxi to America. With a compelling storytelling style and an honest exploration of personal experiences, Nahatis takes readers on an emotional journey from Greece to America. Her debut book offers a raw and authentic portrayal of triumphs, challenges and self-discovery. She enjoys traveling, cooking, decorating for the holidays, and volunteering. She is most happy when surrounded by family and friends whether at home, at a restaurant, at a dance, or on the golf course. Stella and her husband, Charles, live in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA.

Τον Ιανουάριο του 2021, ένα μήνυμα ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου από τους εκδότες Hay House προσέφερε μια δωρεάν πρόσκληση γραφής 7 ημερών. Δέχτηκα αμέσως.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της επιβληθείσας καραντίνας λόγω της πανδημίας του Covid-19, είχα την ευκαιρία να αφιερώσω χρόνο και να απαντήσω στο κάλεσμα «Θα πρέπει να γράψεις ένα βιβλίο».

Μετά την πρόκληση, βυθίστηκα στην καλλιέργεια του σπόρου που είχε φυτευτεί από πολλούς που είχαν ακούσει την ιστορία μου.

Η Στέλλα Ναχάτη γεννήθηκε στη Βόρεια Ελλάδα και έζησε εκεί μέχρι τα ενδέκατα γενέθλιά της. Η υιοθεσία έφερε το εντεκάχρονο ορφανό στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής. Αφού ξεπεράσει τα εμπόδια που είναι συνηθες σε έναν μετανάστη. αφομοίωση, γλωσσικό εμπόδιο και πολιτισμικές διαφορές, μια ανθεκτική και δυνατή Στέλλα αγκάλιασε τη νέα της χώρα με θέρμη. Θα συνέχιζε να έχει μια επιτυχημένη καριέρα με στην Trans World Airlines In Flight Services. Το πάθος και η αγάπη της για την οικογένεια και τους ανθρώπους γενικότερα, την οδήγησαν στον εθελοντισμό ξεκινώντας από την εφηβεια.

Της αρέσουν τα ταξίδια, η μαγειρική, η διακόσμηση για τις γιορτές και ο εθελοντισμός. Είναι πολύ χαρούμενη όταν περιβάλλεται από οικογένεια και φίλους είτε στο σπίτι, ειτε σε ένα εστιατόριο, η σε ένα χορό ή στο γήπεδο του γκολφ. Ειναι το πρωτο της βιβλίο με τιτλο Taxi to America.
