John F. Fordham

Education.

John graduated in Business Studies and was on a graduate intake scheme with a large conglomerate called Simms Motor and Electronics Corporation where he was trained and worked in the group Organisation and Methods Department. This provided a solid foundation in business and in project management.

Career Achievements.

Positions in various companies included marketing and product management roles. Then managed sales agents in Europe and was promoted to International Marketing Manager and Executive Committee involved in the company achieving the Queens Award for Export to 65 countries. From there John became the UK Managing Director of a German group UK company This position entailed a turnaround of the company after ten years of losses. The company then later became a profitable and the 15th fastest growing plastics and engineering company in the UK.

Consultancy and advisor.

John then went into Business Advice and later with a colleague they set up their own business support consultancy. This work with a range of companies and business areas over 15 years provides further examples and case studies for the book.

Location.

Following his wide career and extensive travel, John and his family now live in the South of England in the New Forest not far from the sea. With his competitive and can-do nature he has been a lifelong sailor, a racing helmsman and crew, and has a Yachtmasters Certificate.
