James Crabb

I'm James W Crabb, a comedy adventure author who has been writing fiction for over 15 years. Writing has been my coping mechanism for dealing with PTSD from my time in the armed forces. I've always loved to write, but I never pursued it as a career until 2023 when I finally decided to self-publish my stories on Amazon.

My writing style is all about creating vivid and interesting characters with a strong focus on dialogue and character development. I want to entertain my readers, and I strive to provide a sense of authenticity and realism in military settings.

As a humor author, I use language to create laughs, whether through clever wordplay, biting sarcasm, or over-the-top exaggeration. I also like to sprinkle in some military jargon, acronyms, and slang to add to the authenticity and humor of my stories. My writing is characterized by my sense of humor, my attention to character development, and for using language to create engaging stories in the military and action/adventure genres.

I was born and raised in Kansas City and after my time in the armed forces, I returned home to start my life as a civilian. It was during this time that I turned to writing to deal with my PTSD. My writing has been featured in self-published works on Amazon, and I have gained a reputation among other veterans for sharing the stories we told while on missions. It is from these experiences that I pull my inspiration for my stories.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy riding my Harley and spending time on my farm in a small town south of Kansas City with the love of my life. Currently, I'm working on a whole series of stories about my old convoy escort team in Iraq, Rogue 4-6.

I hope this gives you a good sense of who I am as a writer and a person. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio!
