Lorna Blake is an international motivational speaker, success coach, and author whose life story is a testament to the power of resilience and refusal to accept limits.
Born to a teenage mother on a farm in rural Jamaica, Lorna experienced poverty, abandonment, and abuse during her early years.
At nineteen, she made the decision that changed everything. She boarded a plane to Canada alone, with no guarantee of a visa and no safety net, determined to build a life that her younger self could not have imagined. While raising two young children as a single mother, Lorna earned an honors degree in social work from university.
Her passion for helping people transform their lives has led her to live and work in five different countries, where she has taught, coached, and inspired thousands from many cultures and walks of life.
Her compelling story of confronting the truth of her paternity was featured in the anthology No More Chains: It's Time For Change in 2018 and in a documentary film of the same name which played in select theaters in 2019.
Her more recent work, Born to Rise, is an autobiographical account that details her early upbringing, the major life setbacks that shaped her, and the lessons she learned in the school of hard experience.
Lorna currently lives in Asia and continues her work as a speaker, coach/mentor, helping others rise above their circumstances and step into the lives they were born to live.
