R. D. Smith

R. D. Smith is a screenwriter and author living in Southern California. He holds a Master of Arts in Illustration Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, and has been a college professor teaching graphic design for seventeen years.

Smith's writing career runs the gamut from a columnist for the largest daily newspaper in California, marketing and branding, TV and radio commercials, non-profit positioning, speech writing, to government policy and law. His genres of writing include: culinary, travel, essay, poetry, screenplays, stage plays, mission statements, short stories, non-fiction, and speeches. He has won over 12 national and international awards for writing and communications including second place national champion for readers theatre.
