Keith Keating

Dr. Keith Keating is the Chief Learning & Development Officer at BDO Canada, a globally recognized keynote speaker, workforce futurist, and author focused on the future of work, leadership, and the evolving role of learning in business.

For over 25 years, Dr. Keating has built and led learning functions inside some of the world's most demanding organizations, including McKinsey & Company, General Motors, and HSBC. His keynotes and programs have reached audiences at Davos during the World Economic Forum, Pepsi, Intuit, and many other organizations across six continents.

He also serves as a Lecturer in the Chief Learning Officer doctoral program at the University of Pennsylvania, the same institution where he earned his Master of Education and Doctor of Education. He also holds an MBA from the City University of New York.

His story starts with a high school dropout. It ends with four degrees. And he operates on one principle: Learning changes lives.

Dr. Keating is the author of two award-winning books. The Trusted Learning Advisor (Kogan Page, 2023) challenges L&D professionals to evolve beyond order taking and become indispensable to the business. Hidden Value: How to Reveal the Impact of Organizational Learning (JetLaunch, 2025) gives practitioners the framework to prove and amplify learning's impact in language executives understand.
