Nik Hartley

Born in the 1980 in Burnley, Lancashire, Nik Hartley lived in the Northwest until he moved to London in 2002 to pursue a career in photography. Whilst forging a successful career for himself as a fashion photographer working internationally, Nik has continued to return to his native Lancashire to pursue personal projects, the majority of which have been concerned with exploring the issues surrounding the prejudice he witnessed growing up in a racially divided town.

Nik’s first book, Every Street was published in 2014 and his work has been exhibited at the Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool and Somerset House, London.
