Mr. Harry E. Breon

I was born in Pleasant Gap, Pa, a town that reminded me where Winnie the Pooh would live. I attended Penn State majoring in journalism. I always loved to write, my first book was published in 1992 titled Bellefonte High School Football Records 1890-1991. After a long hiatus, I started writing again in 2015 My first being published on Amazon titled "Blood, Sweat and Tears; the Story of Adult Baseball in Centre County" Since then I have published 59 books, all on local history of Centre County Pa covering a large range of subjects. I have just completed my very first novel, "The Emancipation of Mary and Amos, through love and war" The story is about a fictitious man named Amos McDonald who joins the local regiment during the civil war. He marries his childhood sweetheart Mary Olsen before he leaves. The story is about both as they deal with the pressures of being away from each other and a stranger who comes to town that affects Mary. It is a story of love during the war, of two people slowly finding out who they are, a story about love. While both are made up names there are real characters throughout the novel including real men who served in the regiment portrayed as friends of Amos. I plan to continue writing as long as I can. I love to write, it is a passion, an outlet to escape to where I can allow my creative mind to venture.
