Randy Walter and his late wife Barbara started Shiloh Ministries on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, hosting home fellowship meetings and supporting other ministries. They led prayer journeys all around the Chesapeake Bay.
A lifelong journalist, Randy first worked for a daily newspaper at age 18, and went on to be an original staff member of National Public Radio in Washington, D.C. He then became director of audio-visual services at American Association of Retired Persons headquarters in Washington.
After moving to Maryland, Randy worked for 25 years at a Christian radio station, where he edited the award-winning regional Christian newspaper he started in 1983. Upon retiring, he and Barbara wrote 10 books together and distributed 20,000 copies since 2013.
A dozen of their articles were posted on the Elijah List website. One became their most popular book, Name Your Gates & Take Back Your Cities. This book resulted in Randy’s being interviewed on the Christian Broadcasting Network.
