Lisa Beard is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Western Washington University, specializing in race, gender, and sexuality politics and political thought. Their scholarship is propelled by the archives of political thought and action that dream up and work to build more just and beautiful worlds, and has been published in Political Theory, Contemporary Political Theory, National Political Science Review (now National Review of Black Politics), and in the edited volume A Political Companion to James Baldwin.
