Barb Markey is the author of Did I Forget To Mention? — a thoughtfully designed guided workbook that helps individuals organize their most important personal, financial, and legacy information in one secure place. Created to bring clarity in life’s most difficult moments, this comprehensive resource ensures loved ones aren’t left searching for answers during a time of grief.
Structured in 12 easy-to-follow sections, the workbook walks users through documenting everything from passwords and banking details to monthly obligations, legal contacts, insurance information, financial intentions, important dates, final wishes, and even heartfelt letters to family. More than a workbook, it is a lasting gift — one that transforms confusion into confidence and stress into peace of mind.
Barb is also the co-author of the Amazon and International Bestselling book, Life Lessons: Getting Your Act Together with a Little Help from My Friends. This collaborative powerhouse brings together 10 trusted experts who share practical, real-world guidance in investing, insurance, Medicare, legal planning, health and wellness, and more — equipping readers to make informed, confident decisions about their future.
A natural connector and relationship builder, Barb has spent years cultivating meaningful partnerships within the business and networking community. She believes success is rarely achieved alone and is passionate about introducing people to the right resources, the right experts, and the right opportunities to help them achieve their own version of success.
Barb serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for CARE (Community Aging Resource Experts) Cincy, where she helps organize educational events that connect seniors and families with trusted professionals. From welcoming attendees at the door to ensuring every question finds the right expert, Barb is dedicated to making a measurable difference in the lives of older adults in the community.
Her heart for service extends to animals as well. Barb and her husband actively support HART (Homeless Animal Rescue Team) of Cincinnati, fostering and fundraising to give homeless pets a second chance at life.
Barb and her husband Joe live in West Chester, Ohio, with their two beloved “foster fails,” Jinx and Apple. They are proud parents of three children and five grandchildren — and Barb will tell you her favorite title of all is Grandma.
