Marie Cross

Marie was born in Clapham, London, and has always been an avid reader. After O levels and a secretarial course, she started work as a shorthand typist in the City.

Marie married in 1957 and moved to Tonbridge in 1961. She took exams to become a typewriting teacher and stayed in teaching after taking an Open University degree in the ‘80s. She did not start writing until she retired, and her first three novels were self-published.
