Dr. Frederick D Harper

Frederick D. Harper is a retired professor of 42 years from Howard University. He is author of 36 books on universal themes such as romance, peace, love, social justice, human destiny, climate change, fear, sensuality, race relations, human extinction, spirituality, education, and therapy. With an earned Ph.D. and two years of postdoctoral study, Harper has an academic background in psychology, counseling and psychotherapy, and sociology. In addition to his published creative writings, Dr. Harper has authored scholarly publications, including textbooks, journal articles, and book chapters. He has authored a 723-page novel (The Durabone Prophecies), a satire (in book format, titled Ijamama Speaks), 23 books of poetry with prose (more than 1,600 poems), and a book of stories from his lifetime (The Stories). He has served as editor-in-chief of three international scholarly journals. Dr. Harper has lectured and presented conference papers throughout the USA and in other countries, including Argentina, France, the Netherlands, India, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Ireland, Sweden, and Greece. He is the proud father and grandfather of two sons and four grandchildren respectively.
