Ruth Ellen Johnson

Ruth Ellen Johnson is a multi-faceted writer, editor, and film professional who strives to elicit her passion for storytelling in everything she does, including conversation—much to her friends’ and family’s chagrin. With a background in screenwriting and political contribution, she has also been a recurring script judge for film festivals. Currently, Ruth is working on a documentary for Cooke Media Group, further demonstrating versatility and dedication to finding the fundamental motivations of the heart.

In addition to her own writing, beach basking, and incurable reading addiction, she has also served as a literary editor, helping to refine the stories of others.

From the beaches of Southern California, she is the proud mother of three amazing daughters who provide much love, support, and encouragement as well as fodder and drama for her storytelling creativity.

"Love's Labor Lost: Ten Mothers Share their Journey from Grief to Hope," was a providential and unexpected journey from Ruth’s usual avenues of the written word but she has great hope it will resonate with readers who need support and healing. Grieving moms can find more help and grief group connections on the website: www.loveslaborlostbook.com.
