Born was and brought up in and around the market town of Lymington, on the southern edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, Lyn now lives on its northern edge in the village of West Wellow. She and her husband Roger live with their working cocker spaniel, Daphne, in a 400 year old thatched cottage with a large garden and fields and stabling for Lyn’s two ponies.
Lyn and her friend Iain owned and ran Paragons Personnel, a recruitment agency in the centre of Romsey, for almost thirty years before deciding to sell so that she could retire. During her time in business Lyn was also heavily involved in the running of the Romsey Agricultural and Horse Show.
The idea for “Taken In By The Lights” originated when, whilst walking her dogs across the fields one foggy evening, a pair of lights appeared through the gloom piquing her imagination. Adding to the tale as and when ideas came to her Lyn eventually completed her little story and forwarded the manuscript to Austin Macauley who, much to her delight, took it on for publication.
Still busy riding her ponies, playing tennis, walking Daphne, painting, travelling and enjoying the company of friends and family and life in general Lyn now finds she has the kernel of another story growing in her mind…
