Diane (d.l.dickson) has three passions: Family, Paris, World War ll. On her first trip to Paris, she wandered into the Place de la Concorde. A Tiger tank swirled its turrets with flames flashing. Not 1945 but 1965 she stepped onto the set of Is Paris Burning -almost twenty years to the date of the Liberation of Paris.

Since then, she has earned BA & MA degrees in French and English, worked as a commercial writer and as a teacher. Diane shared her love for Paris with her children and students on trips to Paris and France.

While the World Waits is a result of a lifetime of learning and research for an era that has always felt so familiar to her. The novel is an award finalist in the Independent Publishers of New England.

Now 'sans enfants' she can sit in a Paris café and write her Paris meandering tales while sipping a café crème and giving a cheese croissant crumb to the orange tabby under the table.
