Kathy King Johnson

Kathy King Johnson, M.Ed., is a Hopwood Award winning writer from the University of Michigan. While teaching rhetoric at the University of Houston she worked on a doctorate in English. As a language arts teacher at the Briarwood School in Houston, she taught children with learning disabilities. In Boulder Colorado, she became executive director of one of the largest equine assisted psychotherapy facilities in the nation, Medicine Horse Program. She later became executive director of the Cheboygan Opera House. Johnson is author of a non-fiction book, “The Cheboygan Opera House” and two historical fiction novels about horses, "Rambler" and "The Legendary Eclipse." She just released her first book for all ages "Tuxedo Tom," about a dapper, rambling cat.
