Juan Carlos Ruiz

I am a technical instructor based in Barcelona, Spain. I have been working in the IT industry for a long time, in top companies as DEC, Compaq, Microsoft and AWS, and in multiple roles as Tech Support, Development, Operations and (in)Security... working in DevOps teams, long before the term was coined. My first computer was a Compukit UK101, so you can find out the approximate year.

I'm specially a great fan of two activities. The first one is Teaching (making sure students get the basic concepts and relationships). Dissecting and explaining complex concepts in a simpler and visual way. The second one is Automation (which means making IT work for humans, and not the opposite). I was also a Microsoft Technical Lead for PowerShell in EMEA, teaching customers how to automate every possible task... and there are many of them.
