Joshua Tilley

I am a husband, father, pastor, and doctor of ministry.

My background is in philosophy and theology.

After writing an article for a local newspaper entitled, "God's Will is Not Always Done," I received quite a bit of rebuke and encouragement. Many considered my article to be an attack against God, while others found the paper to be an answer to the question, "Why does evil exist?" The controversy opened up opportunities for me to teach on the topics of religion and philosophy throughout the publications circulation. Many of those who I talked to were shocked a bit because they had never considered the mingling of logic and religion. Many consider science and philosophy to be outside the realm of religious thought, so I decided to make it a part of my life's mission to free them from this limited view of reality.

My philosophical thought pulls from such diverse thinkers as Camus, Sartre, Kierkegaard, Gregory Palamas, Nietzsche, Buber, Socrates, Plato, and many others.

I currently reside in Iowa with my wife and family. I am considering working on a story of fiction following in the footsteps of other such philosophically driven novels as "The Stranger" and "Nausea" but I haven't decided yet.

My specialty is existentialism and leadership.
